Donald Trump: GoFundMe

The idea behind ‘My Emerald Cove’ was simple. It was a venue for me to rant, rave, and leave my comments on the stupidity and callousness of this world in which we live.

Granted, much of what I wrote was Israel slanted.

I also wanted space in which I could express irrelevant, irreverent, and sometimes contemptuous comments.

Getting older, - I am well on my way to becoming a grumpy old man - encourages me, at least, not to take the world so seriously (most of the time).

When Donald J. Trump started his run for the US presidency way back in 2015, I was still on Facebook and recall shouting from the rooftops that a Trump presidency would bring a much-welcome breath of fresh air to Washington and US politics.

How naive of me.

Now here we stand on the crest of the 2024 US presidential race and Trump is once again pushing to be reelected have lost out to Biden in 2020. Or as he maintains, “the election was stolen from him”.

Trump and the Trump Organization have been fined $354 million and barred Trump “from serving as an officer or director of any New York corporation or other legal entity in New York for three years,” including his namesake company.

New York Attorney General Letitia James, whose office brought the case, said “Donald Trump is finally facing accountability for his lying, cheating, and staggering fraud. Because no matter how big, rich, or powerful you think you are, no one is above the law”. She concluded, by calling the ruling “a tremendous victory for this state, this nation, and for everyone who believes that we all must play by the same rules, even former presidents.”

So, if you are feeling down for Trump, you can join a GoFundMe drive to collect the $354 million fine.

Is this not a crazy world?
